Newsworthiness

Greetings: today our objective is brainstorm newsworthy story ideas to write "ARTICLE #3"
We will do this and share out during Morning Meeting (10-15 mins.)
and we will be able to explain our job responsibilities after conferencing with Ms. Restaino

Do Now:


1) Think: what does it mean for a story to be "newsworthy"?
2) Read the following article and be prepared to explain it's newsworthiness.

Today you will prepare at least one piece of news to share during Morning Meeting, which will be lead by your Managing Editor.

We will discuss your topics and you will begin your Journalist Checklist for research.
ONE ON ONE, I will talk with you about your job responsibilities as Journalists in this newsroom.
