Today we are selling concessions at the movie activity.
We have 32 cans of Sprite that cost 9.49 for the case
a 30 pack of Gatorade that cost 12.99
48 bags of popcorn that cost 17.98 for the box
24 cracker jack boxes that cost 5.99 for the box
and 40 assorted cookie bags that cost 10.99 for the box

How much should I sell each item for to make the most profit and still have people wanted to buy?
Example, I can make a lot of money if I sell the Sprite for $2 a can, but people won't by it, right?

How much money will I make if I sell everything? [Hint: subtract what I spent from what I earned to determine the profit]

Thurs. Oct. 3rd, 2013: Newsroom "Morning Meeting"

No matter what time of day we meet, real reporters get together at the start of the day to have "Morning Meeting." At this gathering they share stories ideas and pick assignments to cover either for the day or the week (depending on the publication). Editors can give assignments or reporters can pick.

Before we get started, click to complete this Anticipation Guide about what is newsworthy. Remember with Anticipation Guides it's what you think, don't worry about being right or wrong.

After that we will continue with Step 5 of yesterday's assignment, which was sharing/presenting our news pieces. Maybe you can explain what makes those stories newsworthy!
